MJF, Finally A Worthy AEW Champion

Right now he is the best thing going for AEW. This company FINALLY has a worthy wrestler to be their champion.

Since seeing MJF at the 2018 Indy Super-Show All In, I been a fan of his. He is a modern day talent, that maybe considered a throwback. Seeing him reminds me of combinations of Bobby Heenan, Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, and Jerry Lawler. For MJF could have been related to these talents, because he is so good. He is not an exact copy of these former performers, but he is able to take what these guys had, and put his spin from where he may have drawn his inspirations from.

From what I seen, and heard from him I see him as a student of the game of old, that doesn’t come off as a Howdy-Doody. It’s like what he said he is the NOW, that happens to be once in a lifetime generational talent. To understand how good he is, we have to see what he has accomplished within 7 years of the industry. In 2019 he debuted on AEW Dynamite at the age of 23. He was on the side of Cody Rhodes, until he turned on him to reveal who he really was, a heel that cares just about himself. From there he wrestles in a 6 man tag team with him aligned with Butcher and the Blade, and they wrestle DDP, Dustin Rhodes, and QT Marshall. For at the end of 2019 MJF he is the first Diamond ring winner, and he mixed with high level veterans of DDP, Chris Jericho, Dustin, and Cody Rhodes. In 2021 he wrestles his way for a AEW World Heavyweight Championship match against Jon Moxley, and this year he is in a feud with CM Punk, and he defeats Moxley to now be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion. This past weekend he is seen at a UFC PPV with the AEW World Champion, because he performs 10xs the higher level that no AEW talent has been able to reach, and that includes Kenny Omega.

When MJF is the featured performer for Dynamite, the show hits 7 figures in viewership. Other than Cody Rhodes, he is the one being featured in other high venues. I mean before, or right around the time he became AEW champion he received offer to be part of the movie The Iron Claw.

Unlike the other AEW Heavyweight champions, MJF never held a major championship. That means he is a fresh talent, that AEW needs for their world champion. For that is why MJF gives AEW finally a worthy professional wrestler as their champion.
