After watching a great documentary For The Love Catch I been down a rabbit hole about grapplers from the past. I wanted to read about the Judokan that introduced Judo to President Teddy Roosevelt, which was Yamashita Yoshitsugu. I begin to read about him from Wikipedia.
According to information provided on Wikipedia Yamashita got in a brawl with him Vs 15 laborers, and this is what happened.
Shortly after, Yoshiaki would get into another quarrel with another cadre of laborers, this time him against 15 of them, but it ended up the same way: Yamashita maimed his attackers with chokes and throws, and even killed some of them by breaking their necks. Now imagine if Yoshiaki did this on a NYC subway, because thugs were trying to mess with him. CNN would lose their minds, and other passenger witnesses probably would vomit when he began to snap necks. No chokeholds. Just him snapping necks. 🤣 For what he did in the late 1800s in Japan makes what Daniel Penny did to Jordan Neely rated-G.
